Campus Parking

Parking Lots D and F are closed for construction.

Alternative parking areas include: 

  • Lot A (Between Buildings 1 and 5)
  • Lot B (Wraps around Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 6)
  • Lot K (Adjacent to Building 11)
  • Lot H (Located behind Building 4)

Ensure your Durham Tech parking permit is clearly displayed on your rear-view mirror, facing outward. Parking passes and IDs are available on Main Campus on the second floor of the Wynn Center (Building 10).

Quick Tips

  1. Use the crosswalk on Lawson Street on Durham Tech’s Main Campus — especially with ongoing construction.
  2. Drivers: Watch for pedestrians and do not speed in lots or roads next to our campuses. 
  3. Lock your car to protect personal belongings and don't leave personal belongings unattended on campus. 
  4. Campus Police & Public Safety (CPPS) is in Building 20 on Bacon Street on Durham Tech’s Main Campus. You can reach CPPS at (919) 536-7255, ext. 5555. There is also a CPPS outpost on the second floor of Building 10 (Wynn) where you can get campus parking passes and IDs.
  5. Download the Everbridge app for emergency alerts. Add your phone number when registering for faster help. Check our website for a how-to video.
  6. See something, say something! Report anything suspicious to CPPS.

Log in with your Durham Tech username and password.(Same username and password you use for Self-Service)

Textbooks/Supplies?

  •  Most courses will use digital textbooks starting this fall.
  • Digital textbooks cost a flat fee of $78 per book, included in the course fee.
  • Materials can be accessed anytime, anywhere, through Canvas on any electronic device.
  • Students may opt out of digital materials and use traditional textbooks, but these are more expensive.

📧Student Email Updates!

New students enrolling at the College for the fall term will follow a new email and Microsoft 365 login procedure to enhance cybersecurity. 

The new process will be in place July 1 and will require a 12-character password and multi-factor authentication, which requires a second step to verify a user's identity using the Microsoft Authenticator app.

 

Returning students will begin using multi-factor authentication and will need to change their passwords in February 2026. 


To ensure a smooth transition, students need to make sure their contact information in Self-Service is up to date.
