Did You Know?

Durham Tech has an exciting new partnership with Sonark Media in Hillsborough to offer an Audio Engineering course. The course is in-person at the studio and will provide an understanding of sound recording and engineering.

This includes an understanding of the electronics that transmit audio, a study of sound recording and engineering tools, and experience using these tools to record sound, including for live performances, through hands-on instruction.

This class runs October 20 – December 15.

Campus Construction

Parking Lots D and F are closed for construction.

Alternative parking areas include:

Lot A (Between Buildings 1 and 5)
Lot B (Wraps around Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 6)
Lot K (Adjacent to Building 11)
Lot H (Located behind Building 4)

Buildings 4, 7, 9, 10, and 11 are open and accessible to all students. A new walkway (noted in green on the map) now connects these buildings and Cooper Street. Students should cross Lawson Street at the bus stop crosswalk and use the sidewalk to reach the new walkway.

Financial Literacy Survey💰

The North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association (N4CSGA) needs your feedback!

N4CSGA has developed this anonymous statewide survey to assess financial literacy efforts across North Carolina’s 58 community colleges. The survey gathers input from students on both institutional initiatives and their own financial knowledge, providing valuable insight into current resources and areas for improvement.

Student responses are anonymous.

The survey will close on Friday, November 7, 2025
